Washing line song

Summer's the time for drying clothes outside, and there's nothing like the smell of fresh sheets baked in the sun. Here's a counting song to go with hanging out the washing.

Make it even more fun for your toddler with clothes pegs like these from wildwoodtoys.com

At our Baby Playsongs group we used a skipping rope for a washing line and everyone took turns to peg up a sock. We swung the skipping rope and all went WOOOSH with our arms for the wind..

Sing to the tune of: Ten Green Bottles.

One wet sock, hanging on the line, One wet sock, hanging on the line, And if the wind goes WHOOOSH!

It's absolutely fine, Cos there'll be One dry sock, hanging on the line.

(Count) One... Two wet socks, hanging on the line, Two wet socks, hanging on the line, And if the wind goes WHOOOSH! It's absolutely fine, Cos there'll be (count) One ~

Two wet socks, hanging on the line.

(Count) One, Two…

Three wet socks, hanging on the line, Three wet socks, hanging on the line, And if the wind goes WHOOOSH! It's absolutely fine, Cos there'll be (count) One two ~

Three wet socks, hanging on the line.

(Count) One, Two, Three…

Four wet socks, hanging on the line, Four wet socks, hanging on the line, And if the wind goes WHOOOSH! It's absolutely fine, Cos there'll be (count) One two ~Three wet socks, hanging on the line.
